Dalaguete Mango Growers Fruits Producer Cooperative Track Records
The municipality of Dalaguete, Cebu is a place where thousands of mature fruit bearing mango trees are existing.
The deteriorating mango industry in the area, constrained our poor mango growers and fruits producers to form into a group, in the fervent hope of alleviating the situation.
On March 7, 2009, the first General Assembly was held at ACADAB Chapel, Casay, Dalaguete, Cebu, wherein a new entity was organized, named Dalaguete Mango Growers Fruits Producer Cooperative, then a new set of officers were also nominated, elected and installed.
On October 30, 2009, DMGFPC officers and members participated in Dalaguete Cooperative Summit Caravan, spearheaded by the municipal government of Dalaguete, Cebu.
On May 2010, Financial Assistance, in the amount of Thirty Thousand (Php 30,000.00) Pesos was received by the cooperative from the Municipal Government of Dalaguete (MGD) headed by Hon. Andrade Alcantara, Municipal Mayor, Dalaguete, Cebu for an initial capital to start our business operation, per Barangay Resolution unnumbered dated March 20, 2010.
Likewise, in 2010, Hon. Ronald Allan G. Cesante donated Php 13,000.00 (from his personal money) to the cooperative.
On June 14, 2011, Dalaguete Mango Growers Fruits Producer Cooperative was duly registered with the Cooperative Development Authority of the Republic of the Philippines, bearing registration number 9520-07019905 and Cooperative Identification Number-0102071109.
On October 12, 2011, DMGFPC was accredited by the Office of the Provincial Board, Province of Cebu per Certificate of Accreditation pursuant to the Local Government Code of 1991 and SP Ordinance No. 2004-01, as amended by Ordinance No. 2008-06.
On October 15, 2011, DMGFPC was awarded by the Regional Crop Protection Center, DA 7, Cebu City, five (5) bags of Calcium Nitrate worth Ten Thousand (Php 10,000.00) Pesos for having successfully completed the 3-day training seminar, on Good Agricultural Practices (GAP) in mango production, conducted by DA 7 at Dakung Balas Chapel, Casay, Dalaguete, Cebu on September 23-25, 2009.
On December 2011, DMGFPC initiated a Raffle Draw in order to raise funds with give-aways and valuable prizes at stake to lucky winners of the following:
a) First Prize - One (1) sack of rice worth 1,900.00;
b) Second Prize - One (1) unit of rice cooker worth 1,500.00;
c) Third Prize - Groceries worth Php 1,000.00;
d) Ten (10) -Ten (10) Consolation Prizes – 25 kilos well-milled rice each
On March 2012, DMGFPC officers and members launched a Clean-up Drive in the costal area of Dalaguete, most specially at Dalaguete Beach Park, Casay, Dalaguete, Cebu.
On June 2012, DMGFPC officers and members joined the Brigada Escuela Program of Casay Elementary School and Casay National High School, Casay, Dalaguete, Cebu.
On August 30, 2012, DMGFPC received livelihood financial assistance in the amount of Twenty Five Thousand (Php 25,000.00) Pesos from the Provincial Government, Province of Cebu, which was intended for Goat Raising-Livelihood Program.
On January 7, 2013, DMGFPC Financial Statements for the Year Ended December 31, 2012 was audited by Mr. Elton T. Bermiso, CPA.
On March 30, 2013, DMGFPC conducted its Special General Assembly held at Montebon’s Kiosk, ACADAB, Casay, Dalaguete, Cebu. New set of officers were nominated, elected and installed.
The DMGFPC Treasurer claimed CDA-CGS on June 26, Wednesday, 2013 at the Office of CDA Region 7. The Certificate of Good Standing was signed by Mr. Felipe G. Deri, Regional Director who issued said certificate on May 2, 2013.
On June 15, Saturday, 2013 DMGFPC conducted the Annual Clean up Drive at Angas, ACADAB, and Dakung-Balas. Said community service activity was officially communicated to barangay Casay and to the Municipal Government of Dalaguete.
On July 17, Wednesday, 2013 DMGFPC Treasurer received the BIR Form 2303 which is the BIR Certificate of Registration issued to Dalaguete Mango Growers Fruits Producer Cooperative (DMGFPC).
